**The conference is canceled
**We have no intention to cancel or postpone our upcoming 2020 GEC conference in the meantime. 2020 GEC is planned to take place during 15-16 June inside UUM Campus in Kedah Malaysa.
Things change quickly and given the relatively long time span we still hope and wish that travel and gathering restrictions will loosen and we become able to organize the conference as per the planned agenda. Our strategy is simply to wait and observe how things develop until Mid-May. If the situation persists only then we can discuss the possibility of postponing or canceling the entire event and we will inform all participants accordingly.
** Distant registration for accepted papers is now available and with nearly 50% reduced fees.
**2020 GEC in Kedah has changed dates to two weeks ahead than previously planned. The conference now will take place on 15-16 June, and the post-conference workshop on 16 June.

Into A Greener World: How Do Business Studies Contribute Into the New Era?
More than 90% of the world population breathe polluted air, around 3 million people die from ambient outdoor pollution every year, the last five years were the warmest that ever recorded since 1939, carbon dioxide hit the highest level in human history, a global ear-splitting wake-up call for every human on this planet.
Applied environmental sciences have emerged to study the environment and discover solutions to its problems. Applied natural sciences such as Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Zoology, Physics, Ecology, Oceanology, and Geology, all contribute to developing new and innovative ways to protect our planet and sustain a greener human development.
How do business studies in the fields of economics, management, and finance contribute to preserving our planet? Theoretical and empirical submissions covering this theme are particularly welcomed.
M&S Research Hub in collaboration with the Universiti Utara Malaysia's School of Economics, Finance & Banking invite Economists and professionals working in related fields to submit theoretical and applied papers in all areas of economics, management and finance for presentation at the 2020 GEC conference. However, Papers discussing the conference theme will receive priority over other submissions.
